Comfort Meets Quilting Chair Cushions

If you think quilts are comfy on couches, imagine what they'll be like on your dining room chairs! The Comfort Meets Quilting Chair Cushions are a creative way to soften those hard wooden chairs of yours while also giving your dining room or kitchen a fresh new look! These bright DIY chair cushions are comfortable enough to fall asleep on, but cheery enough to light up a room. They're a wonderfully unexpected way to quilt without the huge time commitment required for a full blanket or even a wall hanging. These are as beautiful as they are useful. Make a set or give each chair its own special look.

Now this post has given me a huge poke in the ribs! My workroom chair, now over 10 years old, used to be really comfortable to sit on. Over the years, however, it has become less and less comfy and I have been getting rather grumpy with it. Why did I not think of making a lovely cushion to solve my problem??

How colorful this chair cushion is. The instructions are for 4 chairs but I wanted to try just one for a patio chair. I used leftover fabric scraps to make the top (4 rows of little puff pillows) and a squared-off piece of foam for the cushion. The bottom and sides are from one solid piece of fabric. No time to add a zipper closure, I hand-stitched the opening closed. Nice project.

I love how colorful and fun this cushion is! It would instantly liven up your kitchen.
