    Coastal Coasters Tutorial

From the Blogger: "Protect your tables from glasses and coffee cups! Make these Coastal Coasters. They are super simple to make and can be a great way to use up your fabric scraps leftover from other projects. These cute coasters sew up very, very quickly and only require basic sewing skills to make. If you can sew a straight line, then you can make these. Make a set for someone to give to them as a personalized housewarming gift."

I have made coasters similar to this and they are so simple but so nice looking to use for any occasion. I love the idea to just use a 5 by 5 quilting ruler and a rotary cutter to make cutting so much easier. If you are making any draperies or recovering chairs you can use some of the leftover fabric to co-ordinate your colors. Make some and give as housewarming gifts or even to family and friends.Super easy for someone learning to sew. Thanks

This is such an easy and nice project to make. You could make a stack of six of them tied with a ribbon as a gift. I haven't used the Insulbright yet but I'm going to buy some and try these out. The fabrics used in the tutorial were really cute too. I keep imaging a stack of nautical ones or holiday themed. The rotary cutter and ruler really does make projects so much easier.
