Christmas Sweater Trees Tutorial
From the Blogger: "If you've noticed that some of your cold-weather layers aren't fitting as well as they used to, then turn the most festive ones into "sweater trees" to place on your mantel this season. Whichever sweater you choose, these decorations will help transform your home into a winter wonderland with quirky and unexpected charm. All you need is an old sweater, some stuffing, a dowel rod, a wooden base, and about 30 minutes. Yep, they're that easy."

I love this tutorial for making Christmas Sweater trees is so sweet. First of all, I Love the concept of recycling old clothing into something new. I also appreciate that the instructions are well explained with many beautiful photos. It helps to understand how to make these cute trees ourselves. I look forward to turning some old sweaters of my own into new decorations.

These sweater trees are absolutely adorable! So easy to make and takes the guilt out of not having to save or give away a sweater that has seen better days! I could see adding a star or bow at the top or even attach a little Pom Pom or sequin here and there for extra pizazz! If you don't have a down and wood twig, I have used a wooden thread spool for the trunk base... Keep it natural, or wind a cross grain ribbon around it, or even paint it. But even just as they are, these little sweater trees and clever, and I think they could be made in different sizes as well for even more variety!
