Has anyone made this sachet using the shantung fabric? I am wondering if the oil would weep through the fabric creating possible staining on it and on whatever the sachet sat on. Might be a good idea to place a little plate or coaster underneath just in case. You could also create your own yo yo flower embellishment in place of the store bought one to save money or even to make it for any occasion.

This quick to make, no-sew Christmas sachet is lovely. While I may not have silk shantung as the instructions indicate to make the scented pouch, I do have lots of Christmas-themed fabric scraps along with a thrifted poinsettia flower that I believe will work as well. Scented rice may be an inexpensive substitute for the wonderfully aromatic cloves and flaxseed filling.
