Easy to follow the quilt-as-you-go method to make these mug rugs. I can never have enough mug rug patterns as they are so quick to do from fabric scraps and make great simple gifts. If no fusible fleece is on hand, then heat resistant cotton batting will do as well. Just stitch the cotton batting to the backing fabric edges and continue on!

While browsing around looking for some easy, and quick holiday-themed small projects to sew, I came across the Quilt As You Go Holiday Mug Rugs. These are so cute and practical. I like the idea of using these and giving them as well. They seem pretty easy to make too. Bonus! Wouldn't these be great for every holiday?
