I've been thinking recently that I'd like to add more skirts to my wardrobe. I think this pattern will be terrific and sounds easy enough. I'm wondering if you could suggest some other type of fabric that can be used other than cotton or denim? Also, I haven't yet sewn an invisible zipper. Is it much harder than a regular zipper?

Everyone needs at least one little black skirt in their closet and why not make it this cute black skirt that has that little flair. This can be paired with a simple tee shirt for that casual wear or put with a button up silk shirt or a sequined shirt and a pair of heels and wear it to a formal dinner or conference and people will be talking about this beauty. This is a good tutorial on how to make your own pattern with that perfect fit. A must read and once you finish making one you will want one in every color.
