Cross-stitching takes a walk on the wild side with 50 Cross Stitch Quickies: Animals and Friends. Beginners and advanced sewists alike will enjoy the variety and straight-forward usefulness of this book from Leisure Arts. This book is a great resource of patterns to pretty much any animal you'd want to cross stitch.
Cross stitching can be fun for everyone, given the right motivation. It helps to have a really cute design that you won't mind focusing on for a stretch of time. I personally can't look away from a cute animal, so the patterns in this book got my attention.
You really have some great options in here, with animals from the jungle, farm, forest, ocean, and sky. Some animals offered include an elephant, giraffe, zebra, rooster, chicken, goat, fox, raccoon, moose, dolphin, shark, sea turtle, hummingbird, ladybug, and dragonfly.
This book was complied from popular projects by Bucilla and Plaid, so you know they are high-quality and time tested. It helps to know that before starting any project. We all want reliable instructions.
I learned to sew in Girl Scouts like so many other women, and I think this book would be a great resource for a troop leader. It would also be a great tool for a mother or grandmother to teach the kids to cross stitch. Kids love animals, and they can probably find their favorite in here.
These projects are a great size for making mug rugs, small decorations, and more. Spend an afternoon cross stitching cute animals for peace of mind.
