This is an easy to make tote pattern and kids will love it! Another option that I have seen, is to use blank canvas fabric and let your kids have some fabric markers and let their own creativity show! They can draw and color in whatever they like, and the fabric markers work quite well. For added protection you could cover with iron in vinyl but I would test first on a scrap to see if the heat alters the fabric makers....although, that may be an added design element if it does! Sort of marbling effect maybe....

Kids will love this library tote bag, especially if made with colorful super heroes novelty fabric. Just one yard of fabric makes the tote. This would be a quick and easy to sew great gift idea too. Just enclose a super hero comic book and action figure that is in line with the themed fabric to complete the gift.
