    Makeup Bag Tutorial and Template_1

From the Blogger: "Once you get the hang of making these zippered bags, you won't be able to resist recreating these a hundred times! The creative possibilities are practically endless. I used a metallic linen for the outside of the bag, which helps amp up the glam. Adding the interfacing to the outer fabric helps give this bag some stability. You can also use a fun print or a canvas for some other options. Also, try adding a contrasting lining for some extra style points."

This is a very practical and fun little project! I made one with an invisible zipper and lined it with interfacing and stiff fabric. I added a little strap on the side to make it easier to grasp when unzipping and also so it can be attached to another purse, or a key chain can be put on it! Since my fabric pattern was busy and colorful with a black background, I used a black zipper and liner fabric, which I had in hand, and the outside was a remnant! Fun! )

WOW. What a great idea. Now you can carry your makeup in it's own little bag and not have to search all over in your purse or the makeup make a mess. Great idea to clip on the end of your purse strap. This is really great for traveling or to take to the office or school. I have never lined a purse before with a zipper because I could never get it right but now I know how.You have given me courage to try it again.

Oh, I've recently just begun to be able to sew things with zippers. I've made a couple of little bags and this looks like an easy pattern to follow. I haven't made one in this shape yet. I like the monotone color of this but I think I would do a bright, fun pattern instead. Zippers make me nervous but this tutorial has clear, understandable instructions and pictures so I think it would be easy to follow. Thanks for the share, will be adding this cute makeup bag to my to-make list!
