This is a lovely handbag project! I could see this as a good way to use up fabiric remnants that are high end, and you could use smaller pieces for each portion. This would be beautiful in a sturdy tapestry fabric or even a reinforced velvet with stiffer interfacing, add some vintage buttons for embellishment or as the closure to complement the fabric!
