Hi I love your bag and want to make it in different fabrics to match my new dresses. Im going to order some magnetic clasps and have the choice of 14mm or 18 mm do you have any recommendations for what size to use for your small size bag?

I think that I would like to be able to get through this pattern. I got the instructions but could not print them. I would hand copy them but the cutting measurements are not on the instructions. I keep getting messages that "Realtime" will not permit me to get into the tutorial. What's going on?

I have been sewing for 3 years now but I still consider myself a beginner and I found this project simple and fun! It took me less than a day to finish.

Thank you for your response. We may not have the latest Adobe, so I'll check for that.

@Ms Mouse, We just downloaded the PDF and the Word document on our end, and both opened fine for us. Please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe installed on your computer in order to download and open the PDF file. I hope this helps. --Editor of AllFreeSewing

Several times I have tried to download the Buttercup pattern but have been unable to do so. I clicked on "Download Pattern" and was re-directed to the previous page. When I clicked on "Download Diagrams" I was able to obtain the second page of the diagrams (which beins with instruction No. 3). The first page was not available. No matter what I do, I am unable to download the pattern itself or page one of the diagrams. I would like to use this pattern for myself. I am not interested in selling this bag nor am I interested in purchasing a bag as I want to sew it in my own fabric. Hopefully this pattern is still available and can be downloaded. Your assistance would be most appreciated. Thank you.

@jessicachannan 1778802, When you click the link that says "click here for sewing pattern," a new window will open up that takes you directly to the original designer's page. From here, there are two different links you can click on and open; one link says "click here to download pattern," which is a pdf file with the pattern. The other link says "click here for diagrams," which is a Word document where you can find the diagrams she refers to in the pattern. Hope this helps! --Editor of AllFreeSewing

I definitely qualify as an intermediate skill sew person....and I find the directions hard to follow and they keep on referring to Figure 1 or Figure 2...but no such thing exists on the download. Shrug....disappointed, my 2 year wanted this purse and I will have to alter it to make it work.

I agree with Becky; thank you for being clear about what one can and cannot do with your pattern. It all sounds fair and generous to me. I think I will try it with the free pattern and if I like the way it turns out then I will purchase the pattern so I make a few to hopefully sell at our school fall festival. Three other teachers and myself are going to have a booth this year. I hoping to earn enough to pay for a website subscription... and a few other things I want for the classroom and a little bit for me (-: Susan S

Thank you so much for being clear about what I can and can't do with your pattern. I just bought the pattern and license and can sleep easy tonight knowing I'm not cheating a designer out of her just rewards!

I need some help please. Number 5 of the instructions says to mark the pleats as shown on pattern piece B. I'm not seeing anything on pattern piece B to indicate where to mark?? Thanks for any help. Bitsy
