Long ago, all ladies carried an embroidered hankie in their purse or tucked into a sleeve. This is one of those beautifully nostalgic memories from the past that unfortunately no longer fits into our modern society. Still, having the dainty hankie handy is charming. It seems a simple hand embroidered motif on the delicate cloth may make a charming gift idea with perhaps a poem of bygone days attached.
