Another thing--since my mugs are big, I'm doing my mug rug a little larger than most coasters--4.5"--more room for an "artistic" statement.

This is mostly just an idea--I rarely need a precise pattern to be off and running, and although I could just copy this one on my own, my choice is to do something more meaningful to me. Right now I'm designing a similar project using cardinals and the bird feeder in front of my house--the images are simplified and stylized--quite within the scope of an elementary school drawing. WOW! I could ask my grandson to draw something for me that I would equally love--great Christmas gift idea, don't you think?

I love this, thank you very much. I live in Maine so I will certainly be making this. I did not like having to register at another site to download it however, I'd be very happy to barter a Tweet, Pin or post to Facebook in exchange for downloading a pattern. There is so much personal information being stolen from websites today that I dislike registering on a site that doesn't display the lock, which the other site does not.
