Beach Towel Dress
Say hello to sunshine! The Beach Towel Dress is a fantastic easy sewing project for welcoming warmer weather. Most swimsuit cover-ups for women are somewhat impractical - if they are made of thin material, then they are rendered useless when your swimsuit is wet.
Instead, wear a dress made from a beach towel! It is literally the perfect swimsuit cover-up at the beach or the pool, and this pattern is so easy to make. Dress practically for fun in the sun with this project.

What a great idea. A beach cover up using a large size beach towel. This is so much better than trying to wrap yourself in a flimsy cover-up at the beach or hotel pool side. I like the idea of using the towels finished edges for the top and hem edges.

Could this be made plus-size by sewing two cheap beach towels together first? Then shirring and closing the side seam? Would an experienced seamstress please advise? Thank you!

I think I read last time I came across this, that it was too bare on the shoulders for a cover-up. I agreed until I thought, "Oh, yeah, you need something to cover you up to and from a hotel or motel pool."

I clicked on the link and the directions were there written out. I say directions as they are more directions than a pattern as there is no cutting involved.
