It's been quite a while since I have made a shift dress, but this is a lovely idea! I have made the frillier ones for my daughter and this style would now be more suited to her. Love the fabric choice, so fun and uplifting, but you fabric choice could make this little dress a formal to an everyday errand dress! So versatile and fun to make!

I am going to try this! The instructions for making cap sleeves are among the simplest and best that I have seen, and the whole tutorial is very easy to understand.

How charming! This 2-hour shift dress is perfect for warmer days or warmer climates. I especially like the simple cap sleeve design using a folded in half circle. How clever! If you do not have an existing shift dress as the tutorial indicates to use as a pattern an inexpensive one from a thrift store sale would work as well.
