In How to Sew Jacket Alteration Part 3, after removing the patch pocket, Mary Beth Temple will show you how to move it up so that proportions of the jacket are correct when you hem it.
She will walk you through keeping the curve in the jacket edge while you hem it. You'll have a few options when actually hemming your jacket to the right length, whether you want to do it by hand or by machine.
As with other clothing alterations, you'll have to adjust the lining. If you're joining the series late, you can still watch the introduction, part 1, and part 2 and then see the jacket reveal after this video.
