From the Blogger: "I've been dying to try a thrift refashion. I find the idea really inspiring, especially in this time of rediscovering the need for sustainable living. I go on Pinterest and often find people talk about this "trend" and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it isn't so much of a trend as it is getting back to what our ancestors have done for generations. My dad often talked about how his mother, my Oma, would take apart old winter jackets and remake them smaller to fit her children. I always admired that story and I'm glad now to be able to carry a little of her in this project."
