Make Your Own Wedge "ruler"
"Are you familiar with bargello quilting and patchwork? If not, prepare to learn and do a fun DIY at the same time! This little ruler tool is needed to cut and prepare fabric strips that are angled. Sewing them together produces unique curvy results that can be made into table runners or wall hangings. Normally, you would buy such a ruler at your local quilting or sewing shop and pay upwards of $40. But if – like me – you're just starting out and wanting to try bargello, you may want to save your hard-earned dollars for other things. This DIY version requires some sturdy plastic, but rest assured, you can get by with cardboard (you just won't be able to see through it). After you make this simple tool, check out the next post on my blog for a starter bargello project idea that you can attempt."
